You have just a few weeks left to make your thoughts heard on the bigger issues facing the community.
What’s The Future Tairawhiti has canvassed the region to educate, communicate and seek feedback from people about the Long Term Plan (LTP).
“We’re in the pre-consultation process,” says customer engagement manager Anita Reedy-Holthausen. “We want people to think about the bigger issues and challenges – not just those day-to-day ones, but those that belong in the LTP for the next 10 years.”
WTF is an exciting new way for Council to seek feedback on the 7 biggies for the LTP – our water, roads, environment, waste management, community facilities, parks and spaces, and money matters.
The campaign was launched in early September and will finish on 16 October, just after the Poverty Bay A&P Show.
A smartly branded VW Kombi has been tiki touring around the district, going to events and just chatting to everyone and anyone who wants to engage.
“The biggest two for us as a district are roads and water, and our WTF campaign has gone a long way in raising the profile of that and the LTP process.”
