Rezoning of Rere Reserves

Proposed plan change 41

Proposed plan change 41 seeks to amend the District Plan map r73. No changes are proposed to the District Plan text.

The amendment would remove the Rural General zoning from the Rere Reserves and apply Amenity Reserve zoning to Rere Falls and Rere Rockslide Reserves and Heritage Reserve zoning to Makaretu Reserve which is administered by the Department of Conservation.

Applying the proposed zones to these areas will better reflect use and management.

This change is made under clause 7 of First Schedule, Resource Management Act 1991.

Written submissions are now invited and should be made on the plan change submission form.
