Night-time traffic rural industrial B zone

Proposed plan change 46

Plan Change 46 proposes that heavy vehicle traffic associated with the Rural Industrial B Zone be permitted 24 hours a day. Currently, heavy vehicles can only access or leave sites in the zone between 6am and 9pm. The proposed changes also acknowledge that the character of the area within the Rural Industrial B Zone will change over time as more industry is developed there.
Council has decided to accept Proposed Plan Change 46 to the Combined Regional Land and District Plan.
Copies of the decision have been sent to all submitters and are available from customer service in Fitzherbert Street, HB Williams Memorial Library or here on our website.
Please note the Plan Change 46 is deemed amended by these decisions from today.
Any submitter may appeal the Council decision on the proposed change to the Environment Court.
