Bigger pipes for Te Hapara will prevent ponding

Te Hapara residents may have seen the last of the flooding and ponding they experienced on their properties this week after heavy rain. An upgrade of the stormwater pipes in the area is now underway. “A survey of the area has shown that there is an issue with stormwater not draining as quickly as it should in some streets, says stormwater manager Joss Ruifrok. “This is caused by either undersized or a lack of pipes in some areas.” Read more >>
