Cobden Street & Aberdeen Road traffic disruptions while stormwater pipeline replaced

Traffic will be restricted to one lane at times from next week as stormwater pipes along Cobden Street near Aberdeen Road are replaced.  There may be short periods when nearby residents have restricted access to their properties. Council’s contractor will notify affected residents before this happens.  “If people can take an alternative route and avoid the area during construction that would be appreciated” says stormwater engineer Joss Ruifrok. Water supply shutdown to Makaraka Township and Bushmere area

Water supply to households and businesses in the Makaraka Township and Bushmere area will be disrupted early next week.  “An urgent repair to the main pipeline will require a shutdown of water supply from 11pm Monday 1 October until 11am Tuesday 2 October” says water supply engineer Marcus Koll. Stick it to Rubbish

All dwelling owners within 15 kilometres of a rural transfer station have had stickers posted to them in the last week.  13 stickers have been sent out with a pamphlet on how the changes will work, a change form the 17 mentioned on the pamphlet. The remaining four more will arrive with the October rates invoice. Read more >>
