Proposal to temporarily close Motu Road

It is proposed to temporarily close Motu Road from Motu Township to the boundary with Opotiki District Council between 7am and 12pm on Saturday 9 October 2010 for the Motu Challenge multi-sport event and Motu 60 cycle race. 
During the closure, no vehicles will be able to use the road.

Any person objecting to this proposal can make their objection in writing stating the reasons why. This must be received by council before 4pm Wednesday 28 July 2010.

This notice is issued under the Local Government Act 1974 Section 342 and the Transport (Vehicular Traffic Road Closure) Regulations 1965.
