Launch of our eNewsletter
Kiaora koutou katoa
Nau mai haere mai ki tēnei pānui hou
A very warm welcome to “He Panui” our first Council eNewsletter.
We hope that you enjoy this new way of keeping our community informed about the exciting news from our region.
We will be putting a newsletter out every 4 weeks as we have tons of information, initiatives and activities that we'd like to share with you.
It’s easy to subscribe and we welcome your feedback or suggestions that will make our newsletter better.
You've asked Council to communicate via electronic media more specifically through our website, Facebook and email.
You've also asked that we tell you about what we're doing and what's coming up in terms of major projects, road, environment, recreation and water.
We'll continue to use the Gisborne Herald to complement what we're already doing.
Our major focus at the moment is engaging with you on the Long Term Plan.
We have some big challenges ahead and talking to you helps us to determine our priorities for the next 10 year and how we should pay for it.
Our challenges are fixing our roads, our stormwater and wastewater and future options for wastewater management, plus many more. We have more detailed information on our website but our newsletter should inform and link you to more substantial information.
We're also out and about targeting events with our branded Combi van delivering our "What’s the Future Tairawhiti?" website
This engagement period will end 16 October, following the A&P show. Feedback will form the basis of a consultation document to be considered by councillors in March 2018.
While the information is on our website, councillors are extremely knowledgeable and are across all the issues. Please contact them as they're always open to having discussions on any council topic.
We welcome your suggestions and feedback on Our News- He Panui eNewsletter
There's also spot prizes for giving us your feedback
