Doneraille Park

Summer camping is now open until Monday 2 April 2018. Permit and fee required

Freedom camping is only allowed outside of the daylight saving period - between Easter weekend to the start of daylight savings. See the freedom camping information

Doneraille park is on the Tiniroto Road, 61km from Gisborne city and 52km from Wairoa.  If you're heading towards Wairoa, turn right into Ruakaka Road, the camping area is on the left side down the bottom of the hill.

Rubbish collection for summer camping

You're provided with rubbish bags with your permit. We encourage you to recycle and take it to the nearest recycling centre.

Rubbish is collected in the morning from the signposted area Saturdays.  Also Tuesdays during the peak Christmas/New Year period.

Freedom camping

You can freedom camp at these sites outside the summer camping season.

Camping is allowed in self-contained vehicles only within the designated camping area.

Maximum stay is 3 nights over any 30 day period.

Please take your waste to the provided disposal points.
