Community surveys

Asking our district's residents if they are satisfied with Council's services, facilities and representation is a priority for Gisborne District Council.  Each year we carry out an independent resident satisfaction survey to find out how well the community thinks we are doing.

The survey consists of telephone interviews with about 400 residents of Gisborne, throughout the district.

The results of the survey are included in our annual report performance measures for the various activities and also help prioritise Council's future planning.

2011 Community satisfaction survey

We commissioned Key Research to conduct our annual survey.  A representative sample of 404 people from all across the district were surveyed in June for their views on Council services and facilities as well as our policies and overall direction.
